Dr.
Scot Martin, DVM

Dr. Scot Martin was raised in Spearman, TX and received his DVM degree from Texas A & M University in 1986. The following year he completed an internship with Dr. Steve Conboy in Lexington, KY in a practice that primarily performed reproductive and yearling (racehorse) medicine. He then worked at Littleton Equine Center (formerly Littleton Large Animal Clinic) from 1987 to 1990.

He returned home to Spearman in 1990 and became a partner at Hansford County Veterinary Hospital in 1996. His primary practice interest is equine medicine and surgery, with an emphasis on lameness. He is serving as a member of the Equine Practice Committee of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2013.

He and his wife of 29 years, Julie raised 3 children. Garrett is now married and a petroleum engineer living in Midland, TX. Stuart is pursuing a pro golf career, and Mallory is attending Texas A&M University.

In his spare time, Dr. Martin enjoys playing golf and raising cattle.
