Our compact, portable ultrasound machines allow us to evaluate pregnancy status of cows much more accurately and much earlier than by palpation alone. We can now reliably determine pregnancy status at 35-42 days of gestation. By allowing producers to make decisions about culling sooner, rangeland can be preserved for the more productive, pregnant cows.
